Latest Indian gimmick to milk USA

Islamabad—It seems India has tailored a new gimmick to milk United States of Ameica by raising friction with China. India says “China is encroaching into the land (J&K) to grab a particular area to extend its control till Indus river”. New Delhi has been using “China card” for procuring western arms since her 1962 NEFA debacle.
Observers say that this is typical Nehruvian way of raising ‘friction’ to extract military hardware from USA/West.India has recently struck a big deal with USA for purchase ten state-of-the-art Globemaster aircraft for military purposes.
Leh is considered a stategic Himalayan town in the mountainous region in Jammu and Kashmir.
The river Indus originates in the Tibetan plateau in the vicinity of Lake Mansarovar in Tibet Autonomous Region, running toughest course through Ladakh district in Jammu and Kashmir, enters Northern Areas (Gilgit-Baltistan)/Pakistan, flows finally into the Arabian sea near Karachi, the international port city of Pakistan. The total length of the river Indus is 3,180 kilometres (1,976 miles).
India also accuses that last year in July the Chinese troops had entered nearly 1.5 km near 22, 420 ft Mount Gya. India claims Mount Gya as international border. Geographically is a tri-junction of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, Spiti, and Tibet. Its boundary was reportedly marked during the British era in South Asia.
To beep up her case India also alleges that Chinese helicopters had violated Indian air space on June 21 along the Line of Actual Control(LOAC) in Chumar region and had heli-dropped some “expired” food.
Analysts believe that the recent heated statements of Indian army chief Gen Deepak Kapoor to take on China and Pakistan simultaneously were aimed at putting up a justification to the USA/West for liberal military hardware to India.
USA ambassador in Pakistan Anne W Patterson has recently publicly denounced Indian army chief’s remarks as “silly”. (Hameed Shaheen)
