A threat to the South Asian peace

Ali Sukhanver:

The war against Pakistan’s nuclear program seems more vibrant and more violent and certainly more popular than the international war against terrorism. These two wars are being headed by two different countries separately; one is the super power of today and the other is aspiring to be the super power of tomorrow. The most interesting fact is that both these countries, the USA and India are apparently fighting on different fronts but inwardly they have the same target; same aim and the same object; the one and the only Pakistan. It is a very common feeling in Pakistan that the US policies and the Indian conspiracies have joined hands together, simply to weaken Pakistan. On one hand USA is showing its concern over the safety of Pakistan’s nuclear assets and on the other hand India is encouraging and strengthening the extremist elements in Pakistan to proceed towards these assets. Ironically India has completely ignored the safety of its own nuclear program in its heat and haste and this nuclear program has become a security threat not only to all her neighbors but to the total peace in the South Asia. Neglecting the safety of its already existing nuclear arsenals, India is trying to add more to its nuclear strength by doing more pacts and by starting new nuclear plans.

According to the media reports, on December 7, 2009.an agreement was reached in Moscow between India and Russia, under which India would get four more nuclear reactors from Russia. At the same time, in New Delhi, a US Commercial Nuclear Mission told the media that, under the US-India nuclear deal, a minimum of 12 plants would be set up, with the work on them starting in 2010-2011. Some other nuclear agreements of the same type were also reported by the media; most important of them were between India and France, Kazakhstan, Namibia, Mongolia and Canada. According to many impartial analysts, it would have been much better if India had concentrated upon the safety of its already existing nuclear assets instead of doing new agreements in this respect. The Kaiga incident is the worst example of unsafe and insecure nuclear program of India. The Kaiga Nuclear plant is located near one of the biggest Indian naval bases, Project Seabird.

As per details provided by the Indian newspapers, a few months back , the authorities hit the alarm button when the staff and workers at the Kaiga nuclear plant began to show above normal radiation levels. The investigators began to urgently comb the Kaiga nuclear complex for any signs of a radiation leak that could have exposed the staff to radioactivity. After the detailed examination of urine samples of more than 50 workers at the plant, they came to the conclusion that all the workers had used a particular water cooler. Surprisingly the cooler was locked and sealed and almost unapproachable to a common man. So the investigation team pointed out the hidden presence of someone who injected heavy water into the machine by using a pump. On the other hand, J .P Gupta, the director of the plant, denied there was any security lapse and said the effect of the contaminated water was minimal. Among those affected were contract laborers who are hired out locally. The statement of Mr.Gupta seems showing that the lives of ‘locally hired out’ labourers are not important and it is nothing to be worried about if such labourers are affected by the contaminated water. There is another part of his statement which has added more irony to the situation. He said, “Whoever did it perhaps knew doping the water cooler would not kill those who drank the water. It could have been intended to disrupt the plant’s functioning.”

The American, Indian and Israeli threat

When we say , Americans are destined to disarm Pakistan of its crucial nuclear arsenal ,means that Americans policy making has been hijacked and commandeered by Indian and Israeli lobbies.

One can appreciate easily that , Pakistan is being forced to fight the American war in Afghanistan , and the beginning point will be North Waziristan , which US thinks is the stronghold of those Taliban elements who are loyal to afghan Taliban. Amidst, political and economical turmoil inside Pakistan, the political elite of Pakistan is highly prone to plunge into the trail of total catastrophe, which can only be avoided, if the politics of dollars is replaced with politics for national interests. The champions of democracy will not amend their purpose, rather it is Pakistani people who are to decide something.

Dr Haroon Iqbal:

The most devastating part of current impasse in Pakistan is that it has been deprived of a vibrant political will and resolves to reach the solutions of major problems which the country is facing in the wake of war on terror, which is approaching the ditch of war of attrition for a country like Pakistan.

From day one, the American strategy was focused at bringing Pakistan army, face to face, with the Afghan Taliban to attain two objectives, firstly to divert the striking power of the Afghan resistance forces and secondly to indulge Pakistan army into a vicious mess, leading to annihilation of its organizational infrastructure and thus removing the most credible hurdle in the way of the Americans to ultimately denuclearize Pakistan. When we say , Americans are destined to disarm Pakistan of its crucial nuclear arsenal , ,means that Americans policy making has been hijacked and commandeered by Indian and Israeli lobbies. Pakistan’s nuclear capability indeed, is founded on the concept of credible deterrence, necessary to maintain peace and stability in the south Asian region. Both of these lobbies (Zionist and Indian) have burrowed through the organizational structure of the American policy making institutuions. In this regard, the Indian ploy of using American shoulders to sting Pakistan is relatively a new phenomenon, a tactic, they have learned from their Israeli brethren. Right from congress, to senate and finance department to national security, Indian Americans or NRI’s have assumed key positions, and in this capacity, remain very close to the den of American policy making apparatus. So we should not forget that when we talk about American policy in Afghanistan, or Pakistan, the Indian factor, working behind American strategy has attained a growing role. The recent example is Kerry Lugar bill( now law), which was passed by congress, where the majority members are pro Indian, or belong to Israeli lobby. Another important factor is the collaborative venturism of the two lobbies, Indian and Israeli, having two faces but same body, and two bodies with one soul. Both of them have a common agenda and a common strategy, i.e. both of them believes in expansionism, religious extremism under cover of sham secular norms, with hidden fascist cum secular extremism.

The most disgusting of these are their religious fascism, where other faiths and religions are totally unacceptable for them. Under cover of civilian aid, Kerry Lugar bill was focused at declaring Pakistan army a rogue, terrorist army and Pakistan a terrorist state. The idea is simply reflecting the deep seated desire of the Neocon American establishment to weaken Pakistan army, in their bid to denuclearize Pakistan. Now, even a lay man can sort out, who will be the ultimate beneficiary if Pakistan denuclearises? The Indian strategy is very obvious now , and that is two way i.e. using the friendly American hand to meddle in the security matters of Pakistan on one side and the weapon of diplomatic impasse on the other. Pakistan’s ambassador in US Mr. Hussein Haqqani has strong ties with most of the congressmen and it is a matter of concern that how was the secret letter by Mr Haqqani to ISI, leaked to Indian media, if pro Indian congressmen were not involved? Both India and Israel are feeding and breeding on American fodder to be able to exploit, the bloody turmoil inside Pakistan, which itself is a product of their dirty intrusion in this country. Pakistan rejects ST story

ISLAMABAD (APP) – Pakistan on Sunday strongly rejected a report of Christina Lamb in Sunday Times claiming that “Elite US troops ready to combat Pakistani nuclear hijacks” and termed it rubbish and figment of the imagination of the reporter.

Talking to a private TV channel, Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit stated that the assertions and insinuations made in the story are baseless. Pakistani government also devised and continued to implement a foolproof safety and security regime for nuclear-related materials.

Western media keep repeating such self-serving baseless propaganda.

However, Pakistan does not bother it as at official level no such assertions exist from west, he said while quoting a statement of US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, giving clean chit to Pakistan in respect to nuclear material’s safety.

Complaining discriminatory behaviour of the western media, the foreign office spokesman said Pakistan never want to made South Asia an atomic region and never take part in armed race.

Pakistan only wants to fortify its defence, he said, adding that Pakistan went nuclear in response to Indian threats. Pakistan cannot be blamed and any wrong use of nuclear arsenal is simply out of question.

Admitting Pak-America differences over drone attacks, he said Pakistan was trying to convince the US that persistent drone attacks could endanger consensus in Pakistan to fight terror war.

It is hoped that the policy of erstwhile Bush administration would be revisited as it is proving counter productive, he said.

Responding to a question, he said if Pakistani media is critical of the US it directly links American policies. In response to constructive criticism of Pakistani media, the western media retorts with baseless propaganda against Pakistani nuclear-related material.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sunday Times in a report published on January 17, quoting a former CIA officer reported that the US army is training a crack unit to seal off and snatch back Pakistani nuclear weapons in the event that militants, possibly from inside the country’s security apparatus, get their hands on a nuclear device or materials that could make one.

Mutallab mystery

Intelligence sources: Plane incident a false flag involving trinity of CIA, Mossad, and RAW

(WMR) — The Christmas Day attempt by the son of a prominent Nigerian banker and business tycoon connected closely to top Nigerian leaders to detonate a chemical improvised explosive device aboard Delta Airlines flight 253 from Amsterdam Schiphol to Detroit was a false flag operation carried out by the intelligence tripartite grouping of the CIA, Mossad, and India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), according to WMR’s Asian intelligence sources who closely monitor the activities of the three agencies in India and Southeast Asia.

The tripartite alliance of the CIA, Mossad, and RAW were behind the terrorist attacks on Mumbai earlier last year and on December 28 Rupee News reported the three agencies worked together, along with former Afghan KHAD intelligence agents, to assassinate former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto: “The Benazir assassination was pre-planned and executed via triangulation by KHAD, RAW, CIA and Mossad using the most modern radioactive weapons available in the market.

The Israeli PM publicly admitted helping India in Kargil recently. The purpose of the covert KHAD, RAW, CIA, Mossad operations is to destabilize Pakistan. The IMF plan to de-fang Pakistan in 2000 did not work, but provincial autonomy will make the center bankrupt triggering an implosion.”

The outcome of the failed terrorist attempt by Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab on the Detroit-bound plane has resulted in major Christmas gifts for the neocons and militarists who still call the shots on U.S. policy:

The deployment of privacy-invasive millimeter wave (MMW) full body scanning equipment at airports in North America and Europe.

The ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, Representative Peter King (R-NY), who is an ardent defender of the Catholic Church and its prelates in Ireland, has defended the scanning system which can image the naked bodies of passengers, including children and babies, an increase in the U.S. military and intelligence presence in Yemen, retention of US USAPATRIOT Act surveillance provisions, an increase in racial profiling of Arabs and Muslims — and because Mutallab is African — blacks in the United States, and more cumbersome travel restrictions for airline passengers.

The neocon propagandists are already spinning counterclaims to reports that indicate that Mutallab was a witting accomplice of a larger plot cooked up by American, Israeli, ajd Indian intelligence agents to carry out yet another false flag terror operation on American soil. The eyewitness testimonies of Michigan attorney Kurt Haskell and his attorney wife Lori Haskell are being pilloried by the corporate media after the two were featured on major U.S. television networks. Haskell and his wife witnessed a “well-dressed Indian man” arrange for Mutallab to board Delta 253 without a passport at the check-in desk at Schiphol.

Haskell told CBS News: “Only the Indian man spoke, and what he said was, this man needs to board the plane, and he doesn’t have a passport. And the ticket agent then responded saying you need a passport to board the plane, and the Indian man then said he’s from Sudan. We do this all the time.” Read more of this post

Is Al-Qaeda real or a bogey to invade other lands for strategic advantage

Al-Qaeda has a new strategy. Obama needs one, too.

In the wake of the failed Christmas Day airplane bombing and the killing a few days later of seven CIA operatives in Afghanistan, Washington is, as it was after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, obsessed with “dots” — and our inability to connect them. “The U.S. government had sufficient information to have uncovered this plot and potentially disrupt the Christmas Day attack, but our intelligence community failed to connect those dots,” the president said Tuesday.

But for all the talk, two key dots have yet to be connected: Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the alleged Northwest Airlines Flight 253 attacker, and Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi, the trusted CIA informant turned assassin. Although a 23-year-old Nigerian engineering student and a 36-year-old Jordanian physician would seem to have little in common, they both exemplify a new grand strategy that al-Qaeda has been successfully pursuing for at least a year.

Throughout 2008 and 2009, U.S. officials repeatedly trumpeted al-Qaeda’s demise. In a May 2008 interview with The Washington Post, then-CIA Director Michael Hayden heralded the group’s “near strategic defeat.” And the intensified aerial drone attacks that President Obama authorized against al-Qaeda targets in Pakistan last year were widely celebrated for having killed over half of its remaining senior leadership. Anti-Americanism in Pakistan

Ahmed Quraishi and PPPs State Minister for Foreign Affairs slug it out in this thought-provoking debate on what Washington is doing wrong in Pakistan. US is deliberately confusing issues. Pakistanis dont hate America. They resent US meddling. US media ignores this subtle difference in order to demonize Pakistan, which appears to be the general direction of the US policy. (URDU)–PKKH
